Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley poked fun at Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) over his rumored use of high heels.
During a Wednesday appearance on the Daily Show, with guest host Charlamagne Tha God, Haley was asked if she planned to wear heels during the third GOP primary debate so she would look taller than her 2024 opponent.

“Are you wearing higher heels than Ron DeSantis next week at the debate so that you can look taller than him on the stage?” Charlamagne asked Haley.
“I don’t know. We’ll have to figure that out,” she responded. “I can tell you: I’ve always talked about my high heels. I’ve never hid that from anybody. I’ve always said, ‘Don’t wear ’em if you can’t run in ’em,’ so we’ll see if he can run in ’em.”
Discussions about DeSantis’s rumored use of lifts in his boots escalated on Monday when he was publicly confronted on the matter in an appearance on Patrick Bet-David’s PBD Podcast. The host presented a video that went viral on social media of DeSantis’s boots during an appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher. DeSantis denied the accusations.
“No, no. Those are just standard, off-the-rack Lucchese boots,” he said, denying the use of lifts in his boots.
Bet-David then “gifted” DeSantis a pair of tennis shoes and told him to wear them.

“I’ve dealt with these politicians many times,” said Zephan Parker, a bootmaker of Houston’s Parker Boot Company, in an interview with Politico. “I’ve helped them with their lifts. [DeSantis] is wearing lifts; there’s no doubt.”
DeSantis’s team denied the accusations.
