My goal is to save you time and make shopping this HUGE sale simpler! For my favorites in 25+ categories, check out the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post here OR click on the tab in the main menu above! I also shared more of my favorite, completely styled outfits here and here.
Please note: This is a highly shopped sale and while there are some restocks, many products sell out quickly. Also, sizing may be limited! Our team works hard to update posts with the most recent, relevant information. At the time of updating this post, the following 20 items are still in stock.
Size reference: I’m 5’4″ and wear a size 2-4, Small & 26 jeans. Denise is 5’5″ and wears a size 6. Everything featured runs true to size unless specifically stated.
#1) Free People Cable Knit Sweater
We’re shocked that this Free People sweater hasn’t sold out yet! It’s such a good basic for fall. It’s the perfect cropped length for wearing with high-rise jeans, has pretty cable knit detailing, and comes in a few color options. I’m wearing the black but I also bought it in Silver Feather and Chocolate.
#2) AllSaints Raw Hem Sweater
This is probably my favorite sweater from the sale! I’m wearing a grey AllSaints sweater that has an edgy, cool raw hem that makes it one of those basics-with-a-twist I’m always talking about. I like the casual look of the roomier fit and it looks great half-tucked or untucked. It’s also very soft! The online description says it’s 100% polyester but the tag on the sweater says it’s 95% cashmere and we think it feels even better than last year’s version of the sweater.
#3) Good American Coated Jeans
I bought last year’s version of these black coated Good American jeans and this year’s version is very similar. They have a 26.5” inseam (perfect for shorter women), are bootcut, and have a subtle coated look. Our YouTube co-producer bought last year’s version and wore them so much that she repurchased this year’s version too!
Sizing note: They run very small, order TWO sizes up.
#4) Frame Puff Sleeve A-Line Dress
Every woman needs a versatile LBD in her closet and this one by Frame is great. It’s SO chic and perfect for events, luncheons, work, etc. It has an A-line skirt with strategically placed pleats that make for a very flattering shape. The voluminous puff sleeves are so fun, and we love that it has buttons on the top.
#5) Open Edit Cardigan
This longline cardigan by Open Edit is such a good basic for fall/winter. The beige color is selling out fast so if you don’t see it in your size, we recommend grabbing the dark grey or pretty blue. I like the ribbed fabric and the weight of the sweater. It’s one of those pieces you can wear casually with leggings around the house or with jeans for a casual dinner.
#6) Frame Cropped Navy Blazer
If you’re looking for a blazer you can wear with everything from workwear to jeans to dress, this cropped blazer by Frame is perfect! If you work in an office, you can wear it with the matching navy trousers or style it with jeans for an elevated casual look. It’s a great length, the navy blue is really pretty, and I love the structured shoulder.
#7) HOFF Sneakers
I was very pleasantly surprised by these HOFF sneakers. This brand is new to me, but I loved the retro look and different tones on these sneakers so much. I have on the color ‘San Diego’ but they come in a few other colors too. They’re super comfortable (have a memory foam insole), lightweight, and unique. They only come in whole sizes so if you’re in between sizes, order one size up.
#8) Dolce Vita Platform Heels
How cute are these Dolce Vita platform sandals?! Platforms are very on-trend right now and I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon. I love the look of the twisted straps and that it’s a chunkier block heel, which makes them easier to walk in. They have a 4” heel and a 1” platform so it’s more like walking in 3” heels…which is very manageable. They also come in beige, ivory, and pink.
#9) Nordstrom Water-Resistant Moto Boots
If you’re looking to add some edge to your look, these black Nordstrom moto boots are a must-try! They have cool buckle details and they’re water-resistant. They have a chunky sole with great tread and a very small 1.5” heel and 1” platform. You can wear these with jeans, dresses, or skirts to add a little extra edge to any look.
#10) 27 Edit Naturalizer Booties
There are SO many booties in the sale and I wanted to find a pair that’s a little dressier but still very versatile. These black 27 Edit Naturalizer booties are a little extra special and unique because they’re leather and suede! The 2.75” kitten heel is very manageable, easy to walk in, and they’re very comfortable. The pointed toe really elongates the leg…especially paired with dark wash or black jeans!
#11) Marc Fisher Knee-High Boots
These knee-high Marc Fisher boots are such a gorgeous beige color I had to try them on. They’re such a good basic if you don’t already have knee-high boots and they come in black leather and black suede if you don’t like the beige. They have a manageable and easy-to-walk-in 3” heel and are super comfortable (for heels).
#12) Dolce Vita Loafers
If you’re looking for a pair of closed-toe flats but don’t want to go with traditional ballet flats…consider trying loafers! I’m wearing a pair of Dolce Vita loafers that are super lightweight, cool, and VERY comfortable. They would also make a great pair of work shoes. They run a little big so I would order a half size down from your normal size so your heel doesn’t slip out of the back when you walk.
#13) Rag & Bone Hat
I own a few different Rag & Bone hats and they last for YEARS and they never go out of style! This one is such a good neutral for fall/winter. It’s an investment but when you think of cost per wear, it’s worth it! The quality is just that good. But this one is similar and more affordable.
#14) Schutz Booties
I love these Schutz booties so much that I bought them in white AND black! Schutz makes beautiful shoes at affordable prices, which means they’re even more affordable when they’re on sale ($120)! This pair of booties is comfortable (for heels), have a 4” heel, and a dressier feel…perfect for wearing with dresses this fall/winter or dressing up a pair of jeans.
#15) All My Monica Vinader Jewelry!
ALL of my favorite Monica Vinader jewelry is still in stock…YAY! I love Monica Vinader so much because the pieces stand the test of time. They’re pricier but I’ve been wearing the same pieces for about 3 years and don’t see any tarnishing or wear. I linked the four pieces I’m wearing below. They all make an impact and add some oomph to a look without overpowering it or being “too much”.
More Monica Vinader jewelry here.
#16) Spanx Faux Leather Leggings
These Spanx leggings are in the sale every single year and are easily one of the most popular items. If you scroll through Instagram during the NSale, you’ll see these leggings styled in SO many ways by so many creators. I prefer wearing them casually with a sweater and booties, but many women also like to dress them up.
#17) Zella Tank
I featured this Zella crop tank/sports bra in this post where I shared some of my favorite NSale activewear pieces. If you’re looking for a classic black long-line sports bra or cropped tank, this is a wonderful option. Zella is an in-house brand for Nordstrom, and they always have great activewear during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This tank has a built-in shelf bra, supportive straps, and a flattering V-neckline. I would wear this tank for Pilates, Tracy Anderson, or yoga but it’s not quite supportive enough for HIIT or cardio. It also comes in a pretty pink and dark purple.
#18) Quay Sunglasses
Quay makes high-quality, on-trend sunglasses at a super affordable price point so I love to pick up a few pairs during the sale each year. This pair is a really great, classic (but still a little trendy) option to add to your sunglasses rotation!
Shop more Quay sunglasses on sale here.
#19) AllSaints Handbag
This AllSaints handbag is a a fun, edgy option to add to your wardrobe. The croc-embossed material feels very luxe and the size is perfect for holding all of the essentials (and then some).
#20) Brow Serum
If you’re still dealing with the over-tweezed brows from the 90s…you need this brow serum. I’ve been using this consistently and LOVE the results…thicker, fuller, healthier-looking brows!
